Allergan’s most recent filler, Juvederm Volux with Lidocaine, was created especially to sculpt the chin and jaw. It enhances the definition and volume of the face features in certain regions. The impact is temporary—up to 24 months. Lidocaine is an ingredient in the product to make injections more comfortable.

Juvederm Volux was created by Allergan, the company that makes the Juvederm line, with Vycross technology. The creation of low-mass hyaluronic acid molecules, which enables a homogenous, soft, and elastic gel structure, sets apart the new active component formula. This method makes it possible to produce an active ingredient that has bonds between short and long chains of molecules. This permits the material to stay in the skin.

Compound:

• Cross-linked Hyaluronic Acid (25 mg/ml)
• Lidocaine  (0.3%)

Non-animal hyaluronic acid is responsible for attracting and retaining moisture in skin cells. As a filler, hyaluronic acid replenishes the deficit of soft tissues, promotes deep hydration and elasticity of the skin, and starts and activates metabolic processes in the skin.

Lidocaine is an anesthetic that allows for a painless procedure with a relaxed facial expression, which helps to achieve a more natural visual effect from the injection.

The product’s phosphate buffer acidity is pH 7.2, which reduces the risk of swelling during and after the procedure by stabilizing hyaluronic acid so that the effect of  Juvederm Volux  injections can last up to 24 months.
